| Q: I’d like to study Chinese at adult beginner’s level, how can I join in? |
| A: Please refer to “How to join us” page for details. You can download a registration form there, fill it in and bring it with you when you come to the School. |
| Q: I’m an adult learner. I understand the course has already started, can I join in now? |
| A: The teaching of our adult class is unit-based and we welcome people at any time. Just come along and have a try before you decide. |
| Q: My child wants to learn Chinese, At what age can he start? |
| A: We welcome all children at school age, i.e. they can join in as long as they started primary school. |
| Q: My child is interested in learning Chinese, but not sure if your school is suitable for her. Can we have a try? |
| A: Yes. You are welcome to come along and have a try before making your decision. |
| Q: When are you open? |
A: The School opens every Sunday during term time between 11am and 1pm. Please see “Term dates” for more details. |
| Q: What is the cost? |
| A: The fee is collected in September and is reviewed annually. Currently it’s £3.00 per 2-hour session for child and £4.00 for adult. |
| Q: Do you have any course for Chinese exams? |
| A: Yes. There are GCSE, AS and A2 classes. Children achieved extraordinary results in past years. |
| Q: Do you have any other extra-curriculum classes? |
| A: Yes. We have a painting/crafting club, a Chinese martial arts club and a dance team. |
| Q: Are you a private school? |
| A: No. We are a membership-based charity run by volunteers. |
| Q: Do you teaching Cantonese? |
| A: No. We teaching Mandarin and simplifies characters. Northwest Chinese Language School (raymond.chiu@ukgateway.net) and Chinese Education Culture & Community Centre Chinese School (tyzeli@hotmail.com, siukkk@hotmail.com) teach Cantonese, please contact them. |
